The ARK Z-Vibe® is a vibrating oral motor tool designed to provide gentle sensory input to the mouth and help bring greater awareness and attention to the lips, tongue, cheeks and jaw.

Why use a Z-Vibe?

Vibration provides a different type of sensory input from traditional oral motor tools. The gentle vibration can help increase awareness of the mouth and draw attention to a particular area, which may be useful when working on oral motor, feeding or sensory goals.

A versatile handle with interchangeable tips

The Z-Vibe comes with the Probe Tip, which has several different surfaces to provide varied tactile input. One side is bumpy, the other is striated, while the edges are smooth.

ARK also offers a large range of additional Z-Vibe tips, each designed for different oral motor, feeding and sensory applications. This means you can start with the original Probe Tip and gradually add other attachments as recommended by your therapist.

The Original Z-Vibe vs the New Z-Vibe Plus

Introducing the ARK Z-Vibe® Plus

ARK has now introduced the Z-Vibe Plus, giving therapists and families another option within the Z-Vibe system.

The original Z-Vibe remains the simple, reliable choice if you want one consistent level of gentle vibration in a slim, lightweight and quiet handle.

The Z-Vibe Plus is designed for those who want more flexibility. It offers three vibration levels, smooth and pulsing modes, built-in memory and a double-ended design that allows a tip to be attached at both ends. The middle vibration setting on the Plus matches the vibration level of the original Z-Vibe.

Choose the Original Z-Vibe if you:

• Prefer a simple, straightforward tool
• Want one consistent vibration level
• Like the slim, lightweight pen-style design
• Don't need to adjust the vibration intensity

Consider the Z-Vibe Plus if you:

• Want to adjust the vibration intensity
• Need a gentler or stronger level depending on the individual
• Would benefit from pulsing vibration
• Want to use two tips during a session
• Prefer additional features and flexibility as needs change

Both handles work with the full range of ARK Z-Vibe tips, so choosing the Original doesn't lock you out of the wider ARK system.
