The unique Sensory Pressure Roller delivers sensory input through calming, deep pressure in a fun and engaging way. The degree of pressure is easily adjusted to allow the appropriate level of proprioceptive feedback for each individual child.
The pressure roller is perfect for use in therapy clinics, classrooms or homes & is a fun way for children to gain the deep sensory input they crave. The rollers are covered in soft foam & durable, easy to clean vinyl material.
The Sensory Pressure Roller can sometimes be called a sensory steamroller, as the user pushes in between the rollers for deep sensory input.
Each Sensory roller has a timber frame and 4 rollers of different colours: red, purple, orange and green.
Handmade in Melbourne, the frame is made from a sturdy but light bamboo timber. It looks good and the light weight makes the unit easy to move around.
Dimensions: 80cm (L) x 65cm (W) x 50cm (H)

Many children with autism spectrum disorder and other conditions experience sensory processing issues.
Sensory processing is the ability to both interpret and organise information that is received through the senses. Parents and caregivers can assist by incorporating calming and organising activities throughout the day and by making adaptations to the environment.
Children may have difficulties processing tactile sensory information, such as light touch and pressure, causing unsettled behaviour, discomfort and distraction.
Sensory Pressure Rollers or Steamrollers, as they might be called, can provide deep pressure feedback and are based on the hug machine design by Temple Grandin. The user may roll back and forth once in the rollers, or roll straight through. This product should always be used under supervision.
